The argument is that big architecture displaces local culture and the indigenous marketplace and is so big as to be like an alien placement from outer space. The counter argument is that a new forum is created. Is it progress and new technology versus arcane and archaic traditions, the machine versus the human, the thinking machine that has grand concepts that just does not notice the little ants crawling around at the feet?
